This online course prepares nonprofit leaders and aspiring leaders to focus on the mission and achieve leadership mastery while driving organizational strategy. This course will explore what leadership means and methods to improve leadership traits. By understanding your drivers and identifying and adapting your personal leadership style to meet the varying challenges you will face in the non-profit space, you can enhance the skills necessary to thrive and create a plan to enhance your leadership. You will also learn to refine your own leadership style, navigate the challenges of transitioning from an individual contributor to a leader, and engage with activities designed to develop your leadership skills.

Lessons
In this lesson, you will rate a list of effective leadership traits from most to least important, as well as your own personal leadership traits from the list from strongest to weakest. You will total the number and reorder the traits to see which scores need more attention and which you can already consider strengths. You will choose two of your lower-scored traits from the lesson to work on for one month.
In this lesson, you will develop a business leader traits enhancement plan with the help of a comprehensive list of traits with definitions and steps for action.
In this optional lesson, you will develop a plan to take one college or vocational course in accounting, building maintenance, HR, etc and develop a mentoring relationship with someone wishing to improve their non-profit leadership/management skills. You will develop a protegee relationship with a mentor or leader in the field.
