Session 1 - Concepts of Change Management

We will cover the Change-Management Process and the different steps it entails. We will practice changing checklist questions for your organization.

Session 2 - Business Process Reengineering

In Session II, we will learn the definition of Business process re-engineering (BPR), the different steps of BPR, the essential requirements to launch change, and the different types of change (developmental, transitional, and transformative). We will discuss how to handle the process of change in your organization.

Session 3 - Assessment of Organizational Effectiveness Checklist

Session III covers the 10 key components of an organizational checklist and how to assess its level of effectiveness. You will learn how to apply the assessment checklist to your organization in order to assess the aspects of change.

Session 4 - Effective Change Management

In Session IV, we will learn about 5 activities to contribute to effective change management, change management models, the ADKAR acronym, the Virginia Satir Change Process, Kotter's Eight-Step Model, William Bridges’ Transition Model, and how to create a Roadmap with PEST. You will create your own PEST Roadmap template of change for one of your organization’s projects.

Session 5 - Change Agents

In Session V, we will discuss the definition of change agents and the different types. You will learn how to identify the characteristics of change agents suitable to the nature of work in your organization.

Session 6 - Resistance to Change

In Session VI, we will talk about resistance to change and the different reasons it may happen. We will learn about the classic psychological reactions to change and Kurt Lewin’s Force Field Analysis. You will learn about how the driving and resisting forces for change interact, as well as the relationship between environmental forces and organizational resistance. Finally, you will be equipped with the tools to overcome resistance to change, as we will talk about the different methods and when to use them, as well as their pros and cons.
