Adam Marshall lives in Torrance, California with his wife and teenage son. A history buff long before he was a teacher, Adam now teaches history and social studies online, and previously taught history at Marymount California University.
Prior to teaching, Adam spent a decade in the corporate world while taking night classes to enter Pepperdine University, where he earned a master’s degree in history in 2010. Adam credits his Pepperdine professors with teaching him valuable research and writing skills. These professors included the Dean of Seaver College, Dr. David Baird, and his Thesis Advisor and 1998 Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, Dr. Edward J. Larson.
Adam enjoys sharing his passion for all aspects of history with his students. Adam also prizes the ability to write or tell a good story, and he enjoys fiction and popular history from authors such as Erik Larson, Paul Collins and James L. Swanson.
Adam enjoys hiking, playing the guitar and spending time with friends and family.
