Hanna Poikonen is a Neuroscientist, Dancer, and the Founder of the WiseMotion Community. WiseMotion is a method she created that combines movement and neuroscience for people with different levels of prior dance experience. It has been featured by Harvard Medical School, Gibney Dance, TU Berlin, Kuopio Dance Festival, Institut del Teatre, Sanitas Mayores, Alive Wellness, etc. Hanna holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience of Dance and Music from the University of Helsinki and was a Postdoctoral Researcher in Learning and Higher Education at ETH Zürich. She also was a Guest Researcher at Örebro University, researching the effects of dance and movement on rehabilitation for mental health at the university’s hospital.
