Hanna Poikonen is a Neuroscientist, Dancer, and the Founder of the WiseMotion Community. WiseMotion is a method she created which combines movement and neuroscience for people with different levels of prior dance experience. It has been featured by Harvard Medical School, Gibney Dance, TU Berlin, Kuopio Dance Festival, Institut del Teatre, Sanitas Mayores, and Alive Wellness, among others. Hanna holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience of Dance and Music from the University of Helsinki and was a Postdoctoral Researcher in Learning and Higher Education at ETH Zürich. She also was a Guest Research at Örebro University, researching dance and movement’s effects on rehabilitation for mental health at the university’s hospital.
