  This course will provide a basic overview of the Science of Microbiology. It will include discussions of the history of the science, the structure of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, microbial nutrition and metabolism, host/parasite relationships and the disease process, epidemiology, major microbial groups and mechanisms for microbial control.
